Clean large room, accessible bathroom, down to earth staff, good location

Basic - as expected for a Japanese style room but great location: On bus route 5 and 100 from Kyoto station. Opposite Henien Shrine, museums, Okazaki park, Zoo and near start of the Philosopher's Walk. 20 minute walk to Gion.

The internet was working and it is in a quiet zone.

Room was really small. As with many European hotels, there is no lift and I had to lug my luggage through a very narrow stairway up 4 levels (please pack light or request for a lower level). Otherwise, location was fantastic, just a few minutes walk away
