We needed a landing spot in Tokyo that allowed us to sleep & get to 6:30am aikido practice. The Sunroute was conveniently located next to the Higashi Shinjuku Oedo subway exit & a close walk to practice. Small rooms, but it worked for our 1 nite

Pros - reasonable price among the budget hotel range - located right above the Metro station - quiet and less crowded area Cons - room is small and decoration is old: scratches on the desk, wall etc. - should not put a large office chair inside the room

Staff were really nice, they let us drop off our luggage one day before our stay (the hotel we were staying at before did not!). Room size was pretty good for Tokyo. Location is not central Shinjuku, but still ok

It was a great place to stay. Right next to the higashi shinjuku station. Also great restaurants on every corner. I recommend this place to everyone.

My first time in Japan and by reading other reviews, i was prepared that the rooms are on the small size. Being a solo traveller, it didnt really matter that much but i can totally understand that it would be cramped with 2 people in the room. In saying
