Very good location. The property is well maintained. The staffs overall are very helpful and efficient

Didn't get much good weather but when the view came out, you realize why you spent all that cash. Food and drink are NOT cheap (think $13 USD glass of beer) but served by lovely people in a stunning setting. Get a lake view room.

We stayed 2 nights.The hotel was next to the Randen electrical railroad Shijo-Omiya station. This goes to many tourist sites. Room was small, typical of Japanese rooms but adequate. Breakfast was ok. Walking distance of downtown area.

The restaurant needs work. Service is extremely slow and it's an event to figure out what you owe. This wouldn't be much of a problem IF .. IF .. this was a one time incident. But the same thing happened last year as well.
