    Fantastic modern hotel within minutes of Kyoto station. Only stayed one night but was probably the best hotel of our trip. Just FYI you will not be allowed in the hot spring if you have visible tattoos, but this is the norm in Japan so no surprise.

    Room smaller than Western-style rooms, but perfectly comfortable for one person. Excellent wifi, comfortable bed, and wonderful location. 10 minute walk from the Ginza line, but 1 minute walk from Tsukuba Express. Excellent restaurants and shopping nearby
