The Ark Hotel at Kyoto is located in the center of Kyoto city. It is quite close to the metro/bus station and easy to reach. Nijo castle as well as the Imperial Palace can easily be reached in a 20 min walk or by bus.

Booking via Agoda website was not given Kaiseki dinner service to room as local Japanese booked direct with hotel.
Onsen facility experience not to expectation.
Just ~7mins walk to Shibuya JR station. Managed to get a room with a view of Mt Fuji. Had a very pleasant stay and will stay here again if we have a chance.
Ok to stay. Great beds and pillows. Large efficient hotel and good for tired travellers. Fairly westernised but practical place to stay on way in and out of Japan.
