The room was fantastically appointed, the onsite restaurant great and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. would recommend!

Location, Ambience of lounge, Open fires.

Noisy building site next to the hotel. Start hammering away at 08:30. Take ear plugs. Also, rooms that are non smoking still stink of smoke.

the rooms were very dated and stank of smoking ,carpets well worn and air con not working properly

I would recommend this hotel just for 1 night, not more. Room really small, no cold water and bed uncorfortable. But the staff is really kind and helpful

Hotel is very helpful and friendly. Hotel is quiet and rooms are clean, although location is a bit far from major attractions/Kyoto station. thankfully hotel provides shuttle bus to/from Kyoto station
