Easy access, friendly staff, clean bathroom

The room I had was supposed to be a non-smoking room but it still smelled. Got a new room but still the same. I can't figure out why the finess facility cannot be accessed from the hotel rooms, which are most illogical design I have seen. You have to

Hotel is clean & location is very good. Walking distance to royal mile & princess street. Lots of restaurants & pubs along the hotel stretch. It was a pleasant stay except the hotel is not sound proof.

The staff were helpful & friendly, room comfort was good and hotel was in a good position to access Bushey and Watford town centre. Also next to a Toby Carvery which was good value.
