Great location and service but not sure why the elevator stops at the second floor, leaving top floor guests another two narrow, winding stairs to navigate with heavy bags.

Forget the legacy, the 400 year old story. If you cannot maintain the property for public enjoyment, and simple health and safety...Shut it down. The accommodate is dirty, lacks daily cleaning and very tired.

The standards in the main hotel are high but this is not the case in their rooms in the annex up the hill. They were 'tired' and in great need of refurbishing.

The hotel smelt badly of smoke. The room we got allocated was dark and very small. We had to pay for another room. This was more facilitated for disabled. The toilet was too high for us small statured people.

Liner hotel we have just spent two night there staff are very helpful the hotel is very clean location is handy for everything and they do a loverly breakfast
