The hotel was majestic from the outside, and even more so on the inside. The floor creaks in some parts which gives us a sense of the history and age of the building. Service staff was friendly.

The overall presentation of the hotel/standard of accomodation, the attitude of the staff/polite and friendly, being made to feel welcome by all including the night porter - "all" were excellent.

About 10-15 minutes walk to lafayette galleries. Noisy morning with traffic. Credit to very helpful front desk staff.
