I would have been better prepared if they advertised themselves as a motel. We had two large suitcases with a room on the upper floor, but the Staverton does not have lifts for that floor. Under the bed, my kids found leftover golf balls and I discovere

The room was acceptable except for the mattress which was a bit tired. There was no rubber matting for the bathtub whIch is kind of slippery. But overall the hotel is good and even the breakfast is great.

Big Onsen both in door and out door

Its location is very closed to station for other points connection or walk to Ueno park.
